Griffith, Harry V. “Spud”

Harry V. “Spud” Griffith, 86, of Beach City passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Blue Creek, WV on August 29, 1934 to the late Percy L. and Hazel (Alexander) Griffith and married Shirley Sampsel on September 26, 1952 and she survives.
He was a US Army veteran and retired from the Dover Chemical Company as a truck driver with 50 years of service.
In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is survived by daughters, Deborah (Michael) Male, Cheryl (Merle) Arney, Connie Payne, Holly (Bryan) Witting and Jackie (Jeff) Klein; 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a sister, Becky Weirich; and a brother, Alan (Carolyn) Griffith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Private family services will be held with burial in Welty Cemetery.  There will be no calling hours.  Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.

The family would like to thank the staff of DaVita Dialysis Center and Community Hospice for their excellent care.
