Flooding affects several eastern Wayne County areas Sunday

Village Green Park in Dalton was among areas that experienced flooding Sunday. A flash flood warning was issued for Wayne County. East Wayne Fire District wrote on its Facebook page that they had received reports of flooding in southern parts of Sugar Creek Township as well and reminded motorists to “Turn Around, Don’t Drown!” According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms are likely over the next three days and the sun is predicted to break through on Thursday before rain returns this weekend.
