APPLE CREEK – Myra Gerber, 93, of Apple Creek (formerly of Berlin, Ohio), went to be home with the Lord, July 22, 2021, at the Danbury Senior Living in Wooster, Ohio.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 26, at 11 a.m. at the Fairlawn Mennonite Church in Apple Creek.  Live stream of the service will be available thru https://youtu.be/9f-OH8qnou4

Private burial will be at the Berlin Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday, July 25, from 6-8 PM at Fairlawn Mennonite Church, 8520 Emerson Road, Apple Creek, OH 44606. Online tributes may be made at www.spidellfuneral.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Fairlawn Mennonite Church (Local Missions Team) at the address above.

Myra was born October 9, 1927, near Berlin to David and Sarah (Weaver) Schnell and lived most of her life in Berlin.  On December 27, 1947, she married Richard Gerber.

She was an active member of Fairlawn Mennonite Church, Apple Creek.

After retiring with 21 years of employment from Owens-Illinois in Berlin, Myra enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, traveling, and enjoying sporting events.

She is survived by children, Lonnie (Joleen) Gerber of Pella, Iowa, Kim Gerber (late Karen) of West Chicago, Illinois, Wynn (Brenda) Gerber of Grafton, Ohio, and Barry (Tena) Gerber of Apple Creek, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Lulu Troyer.  She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, Daughter In Law Karen, two sisters, Marie Schnell and Erma Ewert.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Danbury Senior Living Wooster and Ohio’s Hospice Lifecare for the wonderful care and support over the years.
