One transported following car vs. semitrailer crash Friday

DALTON  A woman was transported to an area hospital late Friday morning after the car she was driving was struck by a semitrailer at U.S. 30 and Kurzen as she attempted to turn onto U.S. 30.

The crash is still under investigation, according to Dalton Police Chief Ryan Pearson.

Dalton Police and East Wayne Fire District were at the scene.

Both lanes were blocked for a short time while her car was removed.

Her injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
