Clark, James L.
DALTON – James L. Clark, age 91, passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2021.
Born in Dalton, OH to the late Cloyce and Marie (Masters) Clark, he was a life resident and graduate of Dalton High School. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, James retired from Republic Steel after 30 years of service. He also worked as a carpenter and did remodeling for many years. James was a member of DAV, Moose, American Legion, V.F.W., and the United Steel Workers Union. He and his wife Margaret spent 25 years as “Snowbirds” going to Winter Haven, FL for the winter.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Casto; sister in-law, Dorothy Clark, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret; children, Ronald Clark (Bobbie Delaney) of Dalton, Diana (Benjamin) Calliet of Dalton, Jeff (Gaye) Clark of New Philadelphia, OH, Pam (Jeff) Bonner of East Greenville, David (Sha) Clark of Columbus, OH, Jack (Helen) Watkins of Logan, OH; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Clair Clark of Dalton; other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 3 P.M. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 29 E. Main St., Dalton, OH, 44618 with Pastor Sally Fusek, officiating.
