Glick, Maurice “Don” Jr.

Maurice “Don” Glick, Jr., 81, of Brewster, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Massillon on September 1, 1940 to Maurice “Tubby” and Margaret (Sessor) Glick and married Carol Miller on June 26, 1958 and she survives.
Don was a 1958 graduate of Brewster High School and had worked for Beaver Excavating and then owned and operated his own excavating business, Don Glick Excavating for 38 years.
He had served as a member of the Zoning Appeals Board and Planning Commission for the Village of Brewster and had coached little league baseball.  He was a proud member of the Tiger Gun Club and the original ACT Group.
In addition to his wife Carol, he is survived by his mother of Brewster; children, Lori (Joe) Battilochi of Dalton, Bill (Laurie Tournoux) Glick of Navarre and Greg (Madelyn) Glick of Allentown, PA; grandchildren, Ann (Sandro) Vitello, Tom (Michelle) Baum, Michael Glick and Jessica Glick; great grandchildren, Alex, Luca, Maks, Weston and Colson; sisters, Patti (Joe Kattich) Gamery, Bobbi (Ron) Langenderfor and Beverly (Danny Schneck) Liebler.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Public graveside services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at East Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre.  There will be no calling hours.  Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster is handling the arrangements.
