TOGETHER AGAIN

Orrville — Johnie B. Wright, age 93, of Orrville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Johnie was born on April 18, 1928, in Albertville, Alabama, to the late Samuel D. and Susie A. (Sims) Wright and married Nora Mozell Duke on January 28, 1949, in Rising Fawn, GA. Nora passed away on April 22, 1999.
He was a cotton farmer and worked in a cotton gin until moving to Ohio in 1965 to work as a Power Brake Operator for Orrville Products for 27 years, retiring in 1992.
Johnie was a member of South Main Street Church of God in Rittman. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, going to Alabama and Illinois to visit his sisters, and to Cave Springs, GA each year for the Duke family reunions.  He also loved fishing and always had a garden.  He will be missed very much by family and friends.
Surviving are his daughter, Brenda (Gary) Mast of Orrville; three sons, Billy (Sharon) Wright of Wooster, Johnnie J. (Carrie Lycans) Wright of Creston, and Samuel Wright of Marshallville; son-in-law, Albert Snyder of Marshallville; daughter-in-law, Fay Wright of Apple Creek; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dale Rasley and Juanita (Jack) Ashley, both of Huntsville, AL, and Nadine (Edward) Walsh of Joliet, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Ann Snyder; son, James T. Wright, grandsons Keith A. Moxley, Jeremy A. Wright and Shawn M. Savage; sisters, Virginia Sims, Louise Roden, and Opal Rains; and brother, Sonny Wright.
Friends may call on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The family has requested visitors to wear masks.
Graveside services will follow at 1:30 PM on Friday, at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville, with Pastor Jeff  Ball officiating.
