Schlabach, Daniel J.

Daniel J. Schlabach, 73, of 6149 S. Carr Road, Apple Creek, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Wooster Community Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born in Millersburg on March 6, 1948 to the late Jonas E. and Sarah L. (Mast) Schlabach and married Naomi Kay Miller on November 21, 1968 and she survives.
He was the retired owner of Schlabach Engine and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife, Naomi, he is survived by sons, Dwain (Elsie) Schlabach of Dundee, David (Ruby) Schlabach, Reuben (Anne) Schlabach and Willis (Becky) Schlabach, all of Apple Creek; daughters, Ruth (Dwane) Mullet of Apple Creek, Marie (Dwayne) Wengerd of Fredericksburg, Wilma (Ray) Miller of Apple Creek, Linda (Junior) Mast of Sugarcreek and Luane (Leon) Yoder of the home; a son-in-law, Aden (Cindy) Miller of Dundee; 56 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Henry) Troyer of Apple Creek and Verna (Henry) Yoder of Fredericksburg; and brothers, Levi (Kathy) Schlabach of Apple Creek and Jonas Jr. (Emma) Schlabach of Fredericksburg
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Miller; a great grandson, Jon Alan Schlabach; and sisters, Edna, Mattie and Anna.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 9:00 am at the Leon Yoder residence, 5770 S. Carr Road, Apple Creek, with Bishop Andy E. Troyer officiating.  Burial will be in the Schlabach Family Cemetery.  Friends may call anytime after 2:00 pm on Wednesday and anytime on Thursday at the Leon Yoder residence.  Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
