Morrison, James (Scotty) O.

James (Scotty) O. Morrison, 93,  of Brewster, passed away peacefully at home on October 27, 2021 with his family at his side.

Scotty was from Justus, Ohio, the son of Colin and Tessie (Books) Morrison.  Scotty graduated from Brewster High School in 1946 and joined the U.S. Navy.  After his  Service, he took advantage of the GI Bill and earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in education from then Ashland College while playing football and baseball.  Scotty returned to Brewster High to begin his teaching and coaching career and earned his  Master of Education from Akron University. Scotty is well-known for all of his dedication to Stark County football.
Along with his parents, Scotty is preceded in death by his brother Michael Hill and sister Barbara Morrison.
Scotty is survived by his wife of 64 years, Martha;  daughters Tessa Keck (Jeff), Stacy King (Bob), Kelly Millin (Gino) and Julie Tull (Allen Meyer); eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held for the family at a later date.

    A true legend of GREAT character who certainly was a character in a very positive way! Feel very fortunate to have had the honor & privilege of coaching with him for several years. He was a fantastic mentor who had a tremendous impact on many, many people, RIP Scotty, your legacy will certainly live on!!.
