What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools?
One thing I love about teaching at Dalton are the wonderful students and families that we have in this great community. I appreciate the support of the families for Dalton Schools and its teachers. The fact is we have great students, they make me smile everyday.
How did you get to where you are today?
This is my 22 year of teaching. I started out teaching 3rd grade at Doylestown and eventually I was able to obtain my dream job- teaching at Dalton. One interesting fact that might surprise some people is that before I was a teacher I worked in surgery at Aultman Hospital for almost 9 years as a surgical technician. When I decided to go back to school, I earned my Education Degree from Ashland University. I had in mind at that time that I would like to teach at Dalton in the wonderful community that I grew up and went to school. I had a great experience growing up in Dalton. I loved all of my teachers, and I loved going to school and being involved in school activities. And I still love coming to school everyday- it is a great place to be.
