Friesel, Randy G. “Jake”

Orrville — Randy G. “Jake” Friesel, age 65, of Orrville, died Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a period of declining health.
Jake was born on March 21, 1956, in Bellaire, Ohio, to Edmond and Charlotte (Haslam) Friesel, attended Tuslaw High School, and served 24 years as a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army, including the Gulf War.
Following his military service, he worked as a welder for Artiflex in Wooster, retiring in September 1, 2021.
Jake loved his cats and and will be remembered for his kind heart for people and animals.
Surviving are eight siblings, Mary Mick of Wilmington, NC, Lorinda (Charles) Gilmore of Marshallville, Dena Maxwell of Lisbon, Paula (Wayne) Kasserman of Rittman, Joy (Jonathan Gibbs) Becker of Orrville, Peggy (William) Friesel of Rittman, Peter Friesel of Dalton, and Missy Hearn-Friesel of Millbersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Mark, Edward “Dean”, and Paul Friesel.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Graveside services with military rites will follow at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville.
