BUSINESS NEWS: Speedway opens at U.S. 30 and SR 57

A new 24/7 Speedway with 20 pumps opened last week at 104 Wadsworth Road (U.S. 30 and state Route 57) and has a full coffee bar, cold drink bar and hot fresh food, including donuts made in-house, said manager Jason Thorne.

“We’re looking forward to serving the community,” Thorne said. “We get a lot of trucker business. It’s a good traffic flow.”

A special is going on for the first 60 days or so that the gas station is open and Speedy Rewards card members receive 10 cents per gallon off at the pumps.

“We’ve had a great turnout,” Thorne said last week. “A lot of people are happy we’re in the area. So far, it’s been really nice. We’ve been busy in the morning with work crews coming through. It’s been a great response from the community.”

Some people have asked about property behind the station and Thorne said Speedway does not own that property.
