Geiser, Jean L.

Jean L. Geiser, 74, of Kidron, died Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with sepsis.

Jean was born in Orrville on April 5, 1947 to the late Dean and Bonnie (Hochstetler) Hochstetler.  She was a graduate of Orrville High School and married the love of her life, Ernie Geiser on November 19, 1966. They were married 51 years. Their children, Eric (Romana “Mandy”) Geiser, Rachel Geiser, Julie (David) Kerby, and Deb Geiser all of Kidron survive. She will be missed by her grandchildren Cole and Sean Geiser, Desirae, Dakota, Jasmine, Samantha, and Jordan Kerby. She is also survived by her brothers, Dave (Anita), Dennis (Mindy), Steve (Teri), Jeff (Jan) Hochstetler and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Lonnie.
She attended Barberton Business School obtaining a Business Degree.  She worked at Crown Steel where she met her husband. While raising her Family did Bookeeping for Superior Garage along with other various jobs. Most recently, she was Co-Owner of Quince Bakery & Cafe.
Jean was a member of Grace Church in Wooster. She enjoyed gardening and baking  and made the most delicious pumpkin pies. Jean loved to travel, especially to Sanibel Island, FL.  She was a passionate sheller. She traveled with her family throughout the U.S. and Europe. She was an active member of the community and her church.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation for the wonderful care and kindness of the staff in the emergency room and cardiac critical care units at Mercy Medical Center. What a blessing they all are. Words aren’t enough.

Calling hours will be held at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 6-8:00 pm.  Memorial services will be held at the Sonnenberg Village, 13526 Hackett Road, Apple Creek, on Friday at 10:00 am.  A private family interment will follow at a later date.

    My Thoughts and Prayers go out to Family , I knew Jean for a brief time when she worked at Lehmans . Enjoyed working with her ..
