Donations welcome for Dalton PD, Shady Lawn community program

DALTON  During the month of December, Dalton Police Department and Shady Lawn will reward people for following the law.

This means motorists could be pulled over and given a gift card just for doing the right thing.

Chief Ryan Pearson had the idea for the community outreach project based on other police departments conducting similar outreaches. The monthlong program will be conducted in lieu of the Coffee Break, which Dalton Police have been doing the past few months, said Capt. Eric McFarren.
