KIDRON  Local businesses have come together on behalf of Kidron Volunteer Fire Department for an evening of appreciation for donors, contractors and community for their generosity and to provide a progress report on the new station at 6 p.m. Dec. 7 at Kidron Park gymnasium (GPS 4434 Kidron Road, Dalton).

KVFD is 79 percent toward the $3.2 million goal for the new station, according to information provided.

Event includes dinner by Byler’s BBQ, raffle items, live auction, entertainment provided by Ryan and Friends.
