Terrie Gregory
Speech pathologist

Reason for the selection: Mrs. Gregory is always going above and beyond for the district. The support she provides each team member and their departments is priceless. She is a strong advocate for her students and a wonderful role model for the Dalton Local Schools.

What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools?

I love working at Dalton schools for lots of reasons, but the one that ranks highest is probably the team approach and student centered care that goes on behind the scenes – I love my coworkers! I have a different perspective now than I did as a parent when my own children attended Dalton Local, before I worked here. I also like working so close to my house!

How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up in Mercer, PA and went to college at Clarion University of Pennsylvania where I obtained both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech and Language Pathology. My first job was in Amherst, Ohio in Lorain County. I have worked in outpatient rehab., nursing facilities, Head Start, Home Health, and for many years at Wooster Community Hospital. I have officially been a speech and language pathologist for more than 33 years!

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that people may be surprised to hear.

I graduated from high school with Trent Reznor from the music group Nine Inch Nails (he won an Oscar for writing the score to the movie “Social Network” and a Grammy for the soundtrack of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”.)
