KIDRON  It’s been a rough couple of years.

Two local theater groups are collaborating to remind residents that even when times get tough, with support of family and friends — and some help from above — ‘it’s a wonderful life.’

Kidron Community Historical Society and Orrville Community Theatre are partnering to present “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Welcome Center at Sonnenberg Village, 13497 Hackett Road. Written by Joe Landry, the play is a creative retelling of the traditional classic movie with which many people are familiar.

“I wanted to do this show at Sonnenberg Village (the historical center operated by Kidron Community Historical Society) because I directed it a few years ago when I was working at Rosedale Bible College and I really enjoyed it,” said Director Christa Wolf, who also is activities director with her husband, Andrew, at Sonnenberg Village. “When Tara Roberts (former board member at Orrville Community Theatre) told me they wanted to do this show as well, we thought it would be a good opportunity for us to work together.”
