Reason for selection: Mr. Grau works tirelessly to help meet the needs of all students at Dalton High School. His dedication to our students and staff has helped create an excellent learning environment at DHS. Mr. Grau is an outstanding member of our DHS staff and we are appreciative of everything he does.

What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools? I love the community atmosphere at Dalton. The small school environment allows me to build relationships with students and staff that would be more difficult to do at a larger school.

How did you get to where you are today?
I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and my master’s degree in school counseling from Walsh University. I was a school counselor intern at Dalton for 1 year before getting hired as the high school counselor. I am currently in my 8th year as the Dalton High School counselor. Growing up I had many adults in my life who supported me, which led me to pursue a career in school counseling.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that people may be surprised to hear.
I know how to juggle.
