Mr. McGinty has nothing but the best interest at heart for the students and staff at Dalton Local. He works diligently at being fiscally responsible for the district and still meet the needs with all stakeholders. We appreciate how hard he works for the community and his passion for the district.
1. What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools?
The thing I love most about Dalton Local Schools is that it’s home. Being born and raised in Dalton, I grew up being in most of our teachers classes and even going to school with some. Knowing them all for so long and having that trust and relationship with them is special. The sense of family and community you feel here at Dalton is something you don’t normally get in other places and that is something I wouldn’t trade for the world. I enjoy coming to work everyday and being surrounded by some of the most selfless, down to earth staff you will ever meet in your life that truly put others needs before their own and that is something I have appreciated about this district my entire life.
2. How did you get to where you are today?
After graduating from Dalton in 2015, I went on to Muskingum University and graduated with a degree in Healthcare Administration (healthcare finance) and after graduating in 2019 worked for Aultman Health Foundation as a Financial Analyst for all the Primary Care Physicians. In 2020 I came back to Dalton as an Assistant Treasurer and went back to school to receive my Treasurers License. In January of 2021 I took over as Treasurer and am currently in my MBA program through Ashland University. The person who inspired me the most in my life would have to be my father. His selflessness and work ethic is something that inspired me the most along with taking pride in your work.
3. Tell us one interesting little fact about yourself that people would be surprised to hear.
Besides working, I love to hunt and fish. So if I am not at work, you can find me in a tree stand or on a boat.
