Wines, Rebecca “Becky”

Smithville — Rebecca “Becky” Wines, age 66, of Smithville, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, at her home in Smithville, following a period of declining health.

Rebecca was born on January 17, 1955, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to the late David and Wilma (Riggle) St. John and graduated from West Holmes in 1972.  She married Harold E. Wines on October 2, 1999, in Orrville. Harold died on November 17, 2016.

She worked for Big Lots and Factory Card Outlet.

Rebecca was a member of Church of Christ in Orrville. She enjoyed crafts, scrap booking, flowers, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are two sons, Kevin Hopkins, Stephen (Kristen) Hopkins; two step-sons, Charles (Shari) Wines, and Bradley Wines; four siblings, Peggy (Earl) Hopkins, Paul (Pam) St. John, Brent (Christina) St. John, and Brian (Melonie) St. John; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Physical distancing will be observed to protect all. Masks are requested by the family.

Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Chuck Hopkins officiating. Burial will take place at the Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster.
