Wirth, Wesley D. “Wes”
Orrville — Wesley D. “Wes” Wirth , age 82, of Orrville, died Thursday, December 30, 2021, at his home in Orrville, following a sudden illness.
Wes was born on February 7, 1939, in Orrville, to the late Frederick and Pauline (Curie) Wirth, attended Orrville High School, and later married Carol Shelly on December 3, 1978, in Orrville. Carol died on January 31, 2010.
He worked many different jobs. He started farming, then worked at Buckeye Feed, Sohio Gas Station and Smith Dairy, where he worked for 45 years, mostly as a truck driver. Wes retired in 2004. In his retirement he enjoyed transporting Amish friends.
Wes also enjoyed collecting pencils, pens, mugs and key chains. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.
Surviving are his son, Kenneth D. “Ken” (Erika) Wirth of Wooster; and grandsons, Owen and Austin Wirth.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm.
Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, at East Chippewa Church Cemetery, with Pastor Don E. Bolich officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Wes’ name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
