Hershberger, Beverly Sue (Stien)

           Together Again

Beverly Sue (Stien) Hershberger passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the age of 82, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, after a period of declining health.
Beverly was born in Dover, Ohio on March 4, 1939, to Harold and Mildred (Lieser) Stien.  She was a 1957 graduate of Dover High School and married Theron Hershberger on August 21, 1965, at St. John’s E and R church in Dover, Ohio.
Beverly’s joy was in volunteering, reading, sewing and travel.  She loved taking bus trips with Theron after his retirement as they ventured out across the country.
She was a busybody and enjoyed serving others as a Nurse’s Aide at Shady Lawn Nursing home, in the offices at Dunlap Memorial Hospital and Dunlap Family Physicians.  She was past president of Dalton PTA, and was a 4H advisor.  In her later years she was an avid volunteer with the Women’s Auxiliary at Dunlap Hospital.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and enjoyed attending their school events and programs as well as getting together with family.
Beverly was a member of Salem Mennonite Church in Kidron.
Surviving are children, Ronald (Karla) Hershberger, Julie Mast, Evelyn (Bryan) Tackitt and Terry (Louise) Hershberger; five grandchildren, Aaron (Lanie) Gradijan, Andrew and Rachel Mast, Anna and Katherine Hershberger; two great grandchildren, Elsie and Sorin Gradijan; sister Margaret (Peggy) Lawless of Dover; sister-in-law Barbara Stien of Massillon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death in September 2021 by her husband, friend and “partner in crime”, Theron; her parents; sisters, Marilyn Festi, Nancy Keener, and Linda Siewert; brother, Thomas Stein; and son-in-law, Michael Mast.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Masks will be required to protect the family and others.
A private burial service will be held at the Salem Mennonite Church Cemetery in Kidron, with Pastor Randy Murray officiating.
