Shanklin, Danny L.
Danny L. Shanklin, 69, of Brewster, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 2, 2022.
He was born in Massillon on July 14, 1952 to the late Thomas and Eileen Shanklin and married Karen Mann on June 1, 1972 and she survives.
He worked hard all of his life to take care of his family. He was a firefighter/EMT for almost 30 years with the Brewster Fire Department.
He cared about everyone he met and would do anything for them that he could.
One of his greatest accomplishments was being faithful to the House of God at Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle in Massillon.
In addition to his wife of 49 1/2 years, Karen, he is survived by children, Jeremy Shanklin of Massillon and Julie (Christopher) Donohoe of Brewster; grandchildren, Anna Louise Hutton, Joshua, Caleb and Judah Shanklin; great granddaughter, Melany Christine Hutton; a brother, James (Cindy) Shanklin of Dalton; a sister, Sandy (Jerry) Moon of Hartville; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Stanwood Cemetery. Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster is handling the arrangements.
