DALTON  The annual Dalton All-Sports Booster Club cake auction will be Friday, Feb. 11 during the boys home basketball game against Northwestern.

Because of an increase in numbers of cakes being auctioned, bidding will begin at 5:10 p.m. before the start of the JV game. Bidding will also take place during half time of both the JV and varsity games and also during intermission between games. Payment for cakes can be made by cash or check in the cafeteria after the varsity game.

Again this year the proceeds from the winning bids will be split in half. Half will go back to the booster club and the other half will go to the bidding sport. This will give coaches more to spend on supplies for the athletes. Proceeds from the cake(s) auctioned for junior high basketball teams will go towards purchasing a scorers table for junior high sporting events.

The boosters would like to thank the coaches, parents and athletes who take time to make, bake, decorate or donate cakes for this event, according to information provided. This is one of several fundraisers during the year for the all sports booster club. Proceeds from fundraisers help support all sports from junior high to high school. The all-sports booster club, in the last year, has helped with purchasing multiple new uniforms, additional weights for the weight room, and supplies needed by the teams.

The Peter Kiko family will again be the auctioneers.
