Jackson, Larry L.

North Lawrence — Larry L. Jackson, age 84, of North Lawrence, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a brief period of declining health.
Larry was born on March 21, 1937, in Marshallville, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Maude (Scheaffer) Jackson and graduated from Marshallville in 1955.  He married Hazel E. Ott on April, 26, 1958 at Chapel of the Cross United Methodist Church.
He worked as a self-employed carpenter for over 50 years.
Larry enjoyed making ice cream for church socials with his wife, Hazel. He loved camping, woodworking and collecting lighthouses, ceramic churches and many more items. He was a “Jackson of all Trades”.
In addition to his wife, Hazel, surviving are four children, Dean L. (Tammy) Jackson of Navarre, Vernon W. Jackson of North Lawrence, Wanda (Richard) Powers of Orrville, and Marvin (Jennifer) Jackson of Minerva; daughter-in-law, Laura Jackson of Orrville; thirteen grandchildren, Josh, Amber, Megan, Cortney, Tiffany, Janet, Jonathon, Jessica, Carrie, Andrew, Michaela, Alaina, Rebecca; 8 great grandchildren; and three siblings, Carol (Richard) Jones, Alice Jackson, and Neil Jackson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Larry A. “Junior” Jackson.
Friends may call on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Chapel of the Cross United Methodist Church, 14411 Orrville Street NW, North Lawrence, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday morning at the church with Reverend Thomas Fish officiating. Burial will take place at the Newmans Creek Cemetery in North Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to defray funeral costs c/o Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, OH, 44667.

    Larry was a great man and funny always enjoyed talking to him,last time I saw him was 3 yrs.ago at my youngest daughter wedding reception. He was are family good friend, his wife went to school with my mom. Sorry for your loss dean and family. Love,Connie
