Nolt, Ralph Lloyd

Orrville — Ralph Lloyd Nolt, age 87, of Orrville, died Friday, January 21, 2022, at his home in Orrville, following a short period of declining health.
Ralph was born on April 21, 1934, in Marshallville, Ohio, to the late John and Mellie (Berg) Nolt. He attended Dalton High School, and served stateside in the United States Army, during the Korean War.  He married Jo-Ann Radtke on April 2, 1955, in Rittman. Jo-Ann died on November 6, 2007.
He worked as a driver and in sales for the Cottage Creamery in Orrville for 22 years. He then worked in the warehouse for Flemings in Navarre, retiring in 1996.  Following retirement, he made a career of stump grinding and was the owner and operator of Nolt’s Tree Stump Removal.
Ralph was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Orrville and enjoyed mission work with JAARS. He was also a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and loved all sorts of cars.  He formerly raced at the Wayne County Speedway and enjoyed cleaning cars for Strickland Automotive.
Surviving are his son, Mark Ralph (Linda) Nolt of Orrville; two daughters, Rochell Jean (Craig) Boughton of Killen, AL, and Julia Catherine (William) Hendricks of Orrville; four grandchildren, Lisa (Josh) Henderson of Orrville, Kimberly (Cory) Nussbaum of Dalton, Thaddeus Jason (Daphne) Boughton of Muscle Shoals, AL, and Breann Catherine Alcaraz of Northport, AL; five great grandchildren, Connor and Kinley Henderson, Reed and Rory Nussbaum, Beckett Alcaraz, Bodhi Quinn, and Joanna Boughton; a sister, Ruth Ann Sundberg of Alliance; and long-time right hand man, Andrew Miller of Wooster.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, George, Alton, Roy, Glenn, Herbert, Don and Walter Nolt; and sisters, Frances Maynard, Florence Kish, and Millie Conner.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm.
Services will follow at 12:30 pm on Saturday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Simonsen officiating, and will be live streamed at facebook.com/aublefuneralhome. Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville, where military rites will be observed.
