Dalton High School’s varsity girls basketball team needed triple overtime to finish the job, but they were able to secure the 69-63 home victory over Wooster Jan. 25.
Addesa Miller put up 22 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Ella Lunsford recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. She also dished out three assists. Kylee Johnson totaled 12 points, two rebounds and one assist. Marley Clark contributed seven points, five rebounds and one assist. Sarah Witmer finished with four points and three rebounds. Kendall Maibach nailed a triple and grabbed one rebound. Mia Weaver was at her best in the paint as she pulled in 14 boards. She also scored four points and passed two assists.
The Lady Dawgs used a total-team effort to slide past host Hillsdale 72-33 Jan. 27.
Johnson scored 15 points and snagged two rebounds. Luns-ford had 14 points, two boards and one assist. Addesa Miller added 13 points, three rebounds and four assists. Maddy West finished with 11 points and two assists. Witmer totaled four points and three rebounds. Sydney Geiser scored two points. Weaver collected eight re-bounds, seven points and two assists. Clark snatched eight boards and scored six points. Da’Mareia Sampson and Mai-bach both had three assists each. Josslyn Reynolds and Ellie Miller both had a rebound apiece.
The Lady Dawgs now have an overall record of 10-8 and they are 7-3 in WCAL.
