Myron H. Swinehart, 86, of Apple Creek, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
He was born near Apple Creek on August 30, 1935 to the late C.T. and Irene (Harrison) Swinehart and married Roberta “Ann” Norton August 20, 1961. She died October 3, 2015.
Myron graduated from Apple Creek High School and served in the Army for two years. He was a life long dairy farmer and had served as a Salt Creek Township Trustee. He enjoyed coon hunting, mushroom hunting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by children Rena (Dave) Clark, Stu (Theresa) Swinehart, Trent Swinehart, Lee Swinehart and Adam (Shirley) Swinehart; grandchildren Shannon (Josh) Schlabach and their children Hadlee and Deacon, Lauren (Zac) Mathie and their children Rayanna and Barrett, Colton (Amber) Swinehart and their children Grayson and Landon, Micah (Jordyn) Barnes, Lovle Barnes, Shad Swinehart, Shyler Swinehart and Shannah Swinehart. a sister, Reda Burkholder; and a brother-in-law, Fred Hofacre.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sisters, Jeanne Buchwalter and Vida Hofacre.
Family graveside services will be held in the Apple Creek Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
