Comito, Jacqueline (Cooper)

Jacqueline Comito (Cooper), 87, of Dalton went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 18, 2022 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.  Her son and daughter were with her at the time of her passing.

She was born in Sugarcreek OH on July 31, 1934.  She had a beautiful soul and was devoted to Jesus and her family. She began teaching overseas on military bases in her 20s and spent time touring all over Europe. She taught in Germany for years and became fluent in German. She met her husband Bernard Comito while teaching in Holland and were married in Ohio in 1973. They both returned to teaching overseas and had two children while living in Spain.
She was a devoted wife and mother. Her children remember her as sweet, forgiving, loving, generous, compassionate, and kind. She was a wonderful woman who did everything with a smile on her face. She had a great sense of humor and an amazing ability to laugh at herself.
She is survived by her children Christopher (Jennifer) Comito of Orrville, Rhea Comito of Dalton, her brother Jim (Nancy) Cooper of Westerville, 6 grandchildren, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Comito and her brother Chad Cooper.

Calling hours will be Wednesday February 23, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.  Graveside services will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman on Thursday, February 24 at 12:30pm.
