Wooster — Roxanne “Rocky” Teague, age 67, of Wooster, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Rocky was born on October 1, 1954, in Orrville, Ohio, to the late Vernon and Betty (Eggeman) Beery and graduated from Orrville High School in 1973 and Mount Union College in 1977. She married Joel on June 14, 1980, in Orrville.
She worked as an Instrumental Music Teacher for Triway Local Schools for 35 years.
Rocky was the past treasurer of District 5’s Ohio Music Education Association, was the assistant band director at Triway Local Schools, and was a member of the Wooster Community Band. She enjoyed going on vacation, especially taking trips to Canada. Rocky loved reading, fishing and anything outdoors. But most of all she cherished spending time with her family and Phillip the cat.
In addition to her husband, surviving are son, Eric P. (Sherri) Teague; nephew, Logan Teague; grandchildren, Hayley, Madison, Brayden, and Collin Glaze; great grandchild, Emma Knipp; sister, Debbie Gibson; nephews, Ryan and Nathan (Jacqueline) Conway; and nieces, Lynn (Paul) Giffin, and Angie Marshall.
She was preceded in death by both her parents; and sister, Jackie Orr.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 pm on March 2, 2022 at Triway High School’s Auditorium, 3205 Shreve Rd, Wooster.
