Herbert, Molly (Johnson)

WOOSTER — Molly (Johnson) Herbert, age 77, of Orrville, died Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Country Lawn Center in Navarre, following a long period of declining health.
Molly was born on May 20, 1944, in Wooster, to the late Harold and Ethel (Lehman) Johnson and graduated from Orrville High School in 1962.  She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education from Bluffton University and received a Masters Degree from Florida State University.  She was united in marriage with James Herbert on July 31, 1998, in Gatlinburg, TN. Jim died on January 20, 2020.
She worked as an art teacher for many years in Florida before giving birth to her daughter and moving home to Ohio.  She then did clerical work for Georgia-Pacific and later worked as a receptionist for several local insurance agencies, retiring in 2006.
Molly previously attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Orrville. She was a talented artist and enjoyed painting and sketching.
Surviving are her daughter, Latisha (Jared) Riblet of Wooster; two sons, Joseph Herbert of St. Paul, MN and Daniel (Lulu) Herbert of Degollado, Jalisco; grandchildren, Jarrius, Fernando, James, and Zoe; two sisters, Luanne Johnson and Jennie (Paul) Reusser, both of Orrville; and sister-in-law, Amanda Herbert of Wooster.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joao Herbert; and sister, Vicki Singletary.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Graveside services will follow at 1:30 PM on Thursday, at the gazebo at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville, with Pastor Don E. Bolich officiating.
