Dortha Matz, who also is affectionately known as “Dot” or “Dottie,” turns 90 on Monday, April 11.
Well-known in Dalton for her several years at The Village Dutchman, the spry woman retired from the Dalton Dari-ette and was taking care of her husband including driving him to dialysis at age 76, her daughter, Linda Kirk, shared.
“Most everyone in town knew the redhead who managed the Dari-ette for so many years,” she said.
