Reason for selection: Sharon Kuhlins is an outstanding member of our Dalton High School staff. She is a kind, caring, compassionate, and student first staff member who is willing to help all DHS stakeholders in any way. Congratulations Mrs. Kuhlins and thank you for everything you do at Dalton High School.

1. What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools? 
I love the community, students, coworkers, administrators and teachers that I work with everyday. I like that I know most of the families, including grandparents of a lot of the students. This is a great District!

2. How did you get to where you are today?
I attended here all my school career and graduated from Dalton Local Schools. I attended Wayne College (Akron University) directly out of high school and received a Certificate in Word Processing. While attending college I worked in the Admissions Office at Wayne College. From there I was hired as an Assistant to Dr. Bennet, DO. After working with him for 2 years, I was hired as a Credit Clerk at Reiter Dairy in Akron and worked there as a Credit Clerk, Credit Manager’s Assistant, and Administrative Assistant to the Executive Vice President and Sales Department for 10 years. I have been at Dalton Local Schools for 25 years working as a secretary to the high school staff, Principal, Guidance Counselor, Athletic Director and students. My family encouraged me to apply at Dalton Local Schools so I could be closer to home and be available for my children.

3. Tell us an interesting little fact about yourself that people may be surprised to hear.
I have a couple. I’m a pianist and have been playing since 4th grade. I enjoy playing for the choir and for the services at Dalton Presbyterian church. I also love to draw, paint and craft.
