AREA CRIME: Body found along Stark County road; foul play suspected

CANTON TWP., Stark County  A passerby saw a body along the road just before 9 p.m. May 10 and contacted authorities.

The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is treating the case as a homicide.

Stark County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Hardington Ave NE near 12th St NE, East Canton, to investigate the report of the body and discovered a deceased male.

Deputies were assisted by the Stark County Coroner’s Office and the Canton Township Fire Department. This case remains under investigation by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
