Lacy, Scott F.
Scott was born on July 6, 1952, in Orrville, Ohio, to the late Donald and Vera (Zollars) Lacy, graduated from Orrville High School in 1971, and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a truck driver for J.M. Smucker Company and then as a service department laborer for the City of Orrville, retiring in 2014.
Scott was a member of the Orrville Farmers and Sportsmen’s, and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and being outdoors. He was said to be a great story teller and loved hanging out with the neighbors who called him the town sheriff. Most of all he cherished spending time with his family.
Surviving are two sons, Andy (Samantha) Lacy of Ashland, and Nick (Amanda) Lacy of Massillon; daughter, Maggie (Billy Greegor) Lacy of New Franklin; eleven grandchildren, Jadyn, Emelie, Kamryn, Hunter, Makayla, Aubrey, Madilynn, Jackson, Anilah, Kaelyn, Kole; and sister, Bonnie Scallon of Grafton.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, and sister, Nadine E. Trogdon.
Friends may call on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Cremation will take place following calling hours. Graveside services and burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, where military rites will be observed.
