Teachers have enough to do already. Instead, place an armed security guard/resource officer on each school.

Only if they want to be armed.

Isn’t there a new law allowing teachers to carry in Ohio?

Absolutely If a teacher chooses to do so and is properly trained in weapon handling and tactical situations..However. ,I doubt the highly liberal Ohio teachers union would go along with it but it’s still a personal individual right to carry if one chooses. ..Sadly this where we are at as a society now.

I wish there were more choices. There are a lot of variables. I think there should be armed security with an emergency system for teachers to notify them right away. They would have to have it on all the time, unlike recent happenings, and would have to be willing to act, unlike Parkland security who hid out instead of acting on it. There would need to be good training for anyone carrying that would be employed by the school, and you don’t want to arm anyone who doesn’t want armed. It’s sad we even have to have this conversation but that is where we are. There have to be some other things that can be done to harden schools and interrupt the attack.
