DALTON On May 16, 2022, the Dalton Kidron Big 4 gathered for a meeting and clean-up at the Dalton Historical Society. The 4-H members helped to pick weeds and spread mulch.
Francis Woodruff, who is in charge of the building and grounds at the Historical Society, expressed his gratitude.
“We appreciate your help every year,” he said. “You guys do an awesome job helping to weed and mulch and to generally clean up. It’s nice that you have so many 4-H members here. We really look forward to each year when you come, because when you leave the place really looks awesome.”
After the work was completed, and after a call to order, pledges, attendance, and the officers’ reports, 4-H members started working on their group project. The group project this year is called “Get Started in Art”, and the kids worked on coloring papers over items with different textures. They will later work on taking pictures of buildings with geometric shapes. All of these will be presented in the booth at the fair.
The next Dalton Kidron Big 4 meeting will be June 13.
