Chicken barbecue to benefit Lauran Hicks

DALTON A chicken BBQ is being organized by Dalton High School basketball and volleyball teams as a fundraiser to help Lauran Ann Hicks and her family. Hicks is a 2017 Dalton graduate and was recently approved by the Dalton Board of Education as Dalton freshman volleyball coach.
Hicks was involved in a motorcycle accident June 28 that left her seriously injured.

All money raised at the benefit 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 15 at the Dalton High School parking lot will go toward helping the family with medical bills and expenses.
