Miller, David A.

David A. Miller, 79, of Wooster, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, after a long, courageous  battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

He was born in Orrville on October 9, 1942, to Aden JC and Celesta E. Miller.  He married Doris Geiser on November 19, 1965.
David was a lifelong member of Kidron Mennonite Church.  His love for God and family were number one in his life. When there would be a need he was a  prayer warrior.
David worked for Morton Salt, Rittman, as a truck driver and retired after 38 years. He then went on to work for his son and grandson at Chance 2 Transport.  He loved attending truck shows and  spending time with his trucking friends right up to the very end of his life.  David was an avid sports fan and played fastpitch softball for over 30 years as a first baseman and was known for his home-run hitting. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was counting all the states he and his wife traveled in over the years until Parkinson’s would stop his travels. After retirement, he loved traveling and spending time with his wife at their winter home in Sarasota, Florida. He made many friends and memories over the years and those memories are also cherished by his loved ones.
David is survived by his wife of 56 years, Doris (Geiser); son, Rodney (Twila) Miller of  Millersburg; daughter, Hope (Jeffrey) Kahl of Mansfield; grandchildren, Chance (Shelby) Miller of  Millersburg, Grace Edwards, Lilian and Lena Kahl, all of Mansfield; great-grandchildren  Hayes and Harvey Miller of Millersburg; brothers, Wayne (Barb) Miller of Orrville, Joseph (Anna)  Miller of Dalton, Eli (Sue) Miller of Apple Creek, Paul (Betty) Miller of Apple Creek, Christ  (Martha) Miller of Dundee; sister, Effie (Aden) Mullet of Fredericksburg; sister-in-law, Betty (late  Aden) Miller of Apple Creek; brothers-in-law, Amos (Erma) Geiser of Kidron, Daniel (Katie VanVanlin) Geiser, Ray (Carol) Geiser of Wooster; sisters-in-law, Esther (Lloyd) Lehman of  Dalton; and DeLores (late Peter) Geiser of Overgaard, AZ.
