Knight, Joseph Dean

WOOSTER — Joseph Dean Knight, age 58, of Wooster, formerly of Cleveland, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Wooster Community Hospital in Wooster.
Joseph was born on December 1, 1963, in Cleveland, to Robert and Madeline (Yapp) Knight and attended East Technical High School in Cleveland.  He married Leah A. Yonker on July 27, 1999, in Wooster. She survives him.
He worked in shipping, receiving and export for Permatex in Solon for the last 30 years.
Joseph was a member of National Rifle Association and was a regular blood donor for the Red Cross.  He enjoyed gardening,  motorcycles, cars, and snakes.  Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Leah, he is survived by his daughter, Heather (Jocyah) Ours of Loudonville; step-daughter, Kendra (Paul) Walker of Wooster; step-son, Adam (Kayla) Forrer of Glenmont; seven grandchildren, Cylas Dean Ours, Alexis, Audrey and Ellianna Walker, and Benjamin, Kennedy and Kaci Forrer; brother, Darrell (Linda) Knight of Cleveland; sister, Linda (Jaycup) Auraunt of PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant son, Lewis Knight, and siblings, David Knight and Carol Lenart.
There will be no public service and cremation will take place.
