Fahrni, Douglas “Doug” B.

Apple Creek — Douglas “Doug” B. Fahrni, age 62, of Apple Creek, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following an unexpected accident.

Doug was born on March 2, 1960, in Wooster, Ohio, to Raymond and Natalie (Aleksich) Fahrni. He graduated from Waynedale High School in 1978 and the University of Akron.  He married Jody E. King on June 19, 1987, in Orrville.

He worked as an electrician for Timken Steel for 27 years.

Doug enjoyed gardening and traveling with Jody. Most of all he cherished loving on his grandkids and spending time with his family. He was a member of the USW 1123.

In addition to his wife and parents, surviving are three daughters, Natasha (Miles) LeGros, Cassie (Cory) Freeman, and Samantha (Alex Woody) Fahrni; six grandchildren, Marlee, Dawsyn, Lucy, Blake, Waylon, and Graham; two siblings, David Fahrni, Danette Hoover; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Audrey; father-in-law, Charles “Bill” King; mother-in-law, Connie King; and brother-in-law, Brett Hoover.

Friends may call on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm or on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at the funeral home.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Jacquie McMillen officiating. Burial will take place at the Apple Creek Cemetery.
