WEEKLY ROUNDUP: Child lost in corn field located
Reports have been obtained from local law enforcement agencies:
- A 3-year-old child was found safe at the edge of a corn field about half an hour after law enforcement were called to assist in the search.
Wayne County sheriff’s deputies responded 3:15 p.m. July 25 to the 600 block of N West Lebanon Road and were assisted by Dalton Police to a call about a child lost in a corn field. The child was found about half an hour later at 3:45 p.m., unharmed, according to Capt. Doug Hunter with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. - A man was arrested July 24 by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant out of Stark County. Michael B. Henning, of Fox Lake Road in Sugar Creek Township originally was found guilty of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, in June 2020. He was sentenced to three years probation, according to online court filings through Stark County courts. In May, court records show intensive supervision absconder filed and a warrant was issued. A probable cause hearing is set for Aug. 3 in Stark County.
