Lutz, Rusty (Russell Lee)

ORRVILLE — Rusty (Russell Lee) Lutz, age 51, of Orrville, formerly of Ashland, died Thursday, August 11, 2022, at his home in Orrville, following a battle with liver failure.

Rusty was born on February 19, 1971, in Ashland, Ohio, to Amy (Mumaw) Blair, graduated from West Holmes (JVS) High School in 1989, and married Robin C. Gardner on September 15, 2019, at Glendora Nursing Home in Wooster.

He worked in the slaughterhouse for E.R. Boliantz Packing Company in Ashland for 23 years, retiring in 2020.

Rusty enjoyed hunting, camping, and farming.  He also loved sprint car races and helping his best friend, Adam Smith, with tractor pulls.

Surviving are his wife, Robin Lutz of Orrville; mother, Amy Blair of Buckhannon, WV; daughter, Brittany Lutz of Ashland; son, Russell Lee Lutz, Jr. of Lexington; grandchildren, Serenity, Cody, Autumn and Ray Lynn; three step-daughters, Meredith Easterday of Ashland, Candace Duffield of Orrville and Michaella Hooper of Wooster; step-grandchildren, Kaileena, Quentin and Ryker; brother, Timothy (Marilyn) Kaufman of Smithville; and sister, Robin Haskins of Stark County.

Memorial services will be held at a later date and cremation will take place.
