Keplar, Ruth E.

ORRVILLE — Ruth E. Keplar, age 91, of Orrville, passed away peacefully and reunited with her beloved husband on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at her home in Orrville, with her daughter by her side.

Ruth was born on January 29, 1931, in Shade, Ohio, to the late Roy and Bertha Moore, attended Buchtel High School in Athens County, married Clarence R. “Dick” Keplar on July 18, 1949, in Nelsonville.  Dick died on July 1, 1999.

She worked in electronics for the Will-Burt Company in Orrville for 23 years, retiring in 1996.

Ruth was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed BINGO, playing cards, and spending time with her family.

Surviving are three children, Dennis (Karen) Keplar of Wooster, Sherri Keplar of Orrville, and Dana (Michelle) Keplar of Uniontown; nine grandchildren, Corey (Jessica) Keplar, Eric (Brittany) Keplar, Josh (JoAnna) Keplar, Angela Hall, Cody Finkenbinder, Andrew Keplar, Ryan Keplar, Justin Keplar, and Nicholas Keplar; eight great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a sister, Joan Palmer of Athens; and a sister-in-law, Glennia Keplar of Reynoldsburg.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Timothy Ross Finkenbinder; a grandson, Seth Keplar; and siblings, Jimmy, Alice, Dottie, Jeanie, Danny and Kenny.

Friends may call on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm or one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Dennis O. Rinehart officiating.  Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
