Dorothy E. Gerber, 102

Dorothy E. Gerber, 102, of Orrville and formerly of Dalton, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, surrounded by her daughters.

She was born in Orrville on April 17, 1920 to the late Edwin W. and Anna Zuercher and married Leonard E. Gerber on October 12, 1941.  He died January 1, 2008.
She was a charter member of the Kidron Mennonite Church.
She is survived by daughters, Judie (Richard) Nussbaum of Dalton, Cathie (Wesley) Braun of Winnipeg, Manatoba and Lendora (Ronald) Nussbaum of Dalton; eight grandchildren, Steven (Stacy) Nussbaum, Lyle (Norma) Nussbaum, Jason (Kris) Nussbaum, Laura (Ash) Dent, Heather (Sean) Middleton, Jody (Mike) Simon, Matthew (Veronica) Nussbaum, Sam (Mary Ellen) Nussbaum; sixteen, great grandchildren, Melissa and Daniel Nussbaum, Cai Lindt and Sesca Lindt-Nussbaum, Elizabeth and Rory Nussbaum, Zoë and Ethan Middleton, Kelly (Nathanial) James, Jordan, Heidi, Joshua and Timothy Nussbaum, Nathan (fiancé Nicole Martin) Nusbaum, Ben and Liam Nussbaum;
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Arthur Eugene; a brother and a sister.
Memorial services will be held Monday, October 3, 2022, at 6:00 pm at the Kidron Mennonite Church with Pastor Carl Wiebe officiating. Family graveside services will be held prior in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5-6:00 pm at the church prior to services. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
