Gladys Mary (Lehman) Amstutz, 93

Gladys Mary (Lehman) Amstutz, 93, of Kidron, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton.
She was born in Kidron on July 20, 1929 to the late David J. and Hilda (Gerber) Lehman, and married Myron J. Amstutz on March 19, 1950.  He died August 24, 2010.
She had made her home at OrrVilla Maple Terrace for the past four years, and attended Living Water Community Church, Dalton.
Gladys was a devoted wife and mother, a spiritual friend and prayer partner for many people and organizations. She loved dearly and was dearly loved.  She was always very active in church life, appreciating and enjoying music and God’s Word, and served others in many ways.
She was invested in the lives of her children and their spouses, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, loved each one dearly and prayed for them daily. She loved to read, and she made a Log Cabin quilt for each of her grandchildren.
She is survived by five children:  Jane (Lloyd) Miller of Kidron, Merle (Debbie) Amstutz of Canal Fulton, Louise (Randy) Pritts of Scottdale PA, Deb (Larry) Miller of Apple Creek, and Julie (Roger) Amstutz of Dalton; 13 grandchildren, Kenton (Margie) Miller, Lise (Mark) Moser, Justin (Debbie) Hernley, Jacqui (Aaron) Hershberger, Amber (Matt) Larkin, Joshua (Taylor) Miller, Scott Edwards, Jenifer (Justin) Weiser, Rendell (Kristen) Hernley, Megan (Trey) Fair, Trent (Maggie) Amstutz, Caleb Amstutz, Felipe Amstutz; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers Clifford Lehman of Kidron and Glenn Lehman of Strasburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Steiner, and a granddaughter.
Special thanks to the nurses and staff of OrrVilla Maple Terrace, Hospice, and Shady Lawn for all the good care she received in recent years.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday at 7:00 PM at Living Water Community Church, 200 N. Kurzen Road, Dalton, with Pastor Mark Hirst officiating. Graveside service will be on Monday at 3:30 PM at the Sonnenberg Mennonite Church Cemetery near Kidron. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-6:00 PM at the Living Water Community Church. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
