Officer Goehring brings a positive and safe presence to DEMS. He interacts with each and every student to build strong relationships with them throughout the day. He goes beyond his duties to make our school safe and welcoming for our students. Each day he displays positivity, kindness and compassion for the staff and students of DEMS. We appreciate his support and all he does for us at Dalton Local Schools.

1. What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools?
I enjoy working with the students and staff on a daily basis. I believe the opportunity to interact with the community, parents, and students in a positive manner strengthens the community.

2. How did you get to where you are today?

I got to where I am today, due to the need for a new school resource officer at Dalton Elementary Middle School. I was working patrol for the village of Dalton, when Chief Pearson approached me thinking it would be a good fit. This is the start of my second year as a school resource officer.

3. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that people would be surprised to hear.
One surprising fact about me is that I enjoy math.
