William “Paul” Troyer, 99
Marshallville — William “Paul” Troyer, age 99, of Marshallville, died Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Rittman, following a period of declining health.
Paul was born on November 27, 1922, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to the late Emmanuel and Katie (Beiler) Troyer. He married Marie Elizabeth Horrisberger on June 28, 1944, in Virginia. Marie died on July 10, 2018.
He worked as a press operator for P.C.A. for 37 years, retiring in 1985.
Paul was a member of Crown Hill Mennonite Church. His children were taught a strong work ethic. He enjoyed wood working and working in his garden. A good story teller he was, recounting the good old days. Everyone will remember him as being fun-loving and his passion for his family and his love of the Lord
Surviving are four daughters, Judy (Lowell) Hilty of Marshallville, Donna (Mike) Gerber of Wooster, Nanette (Mike) Weaver of Marshallville, and Pam Ramseyer of Ellenton, FL; two sons, Bill (Ann) Troyer of Morton, IL, and Brent (Stacey) Troyer of Orrville; 19 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Emmanuel Troyer, Jr..
He was preceded in death by son, Richard Wayne Troyer, Sr.; brothers, Sam, Ora, David, Levi, and Edwin Troyer; sisters, Rosa Lehman, Edna Kramer, Martha Yoder and Sarah Tennefoss.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Crown Hill Mennonite Church, 9693 Benner Road, Rittman, from 10 am to 11 am.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, at Crown Hill Mennonite Church, with Pastors Dan Hooley and Thomas Dunn officiating. Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Mennonite Cemetery in Rittman.
