John C. Phillips, Jr., 86, of Dalton, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
He was born in Massillon on October 16, 1936 to the late John C. and Mary (Brunyansky) Phillips, Sr. and married Sandra S. Rieder on July 31, 1971 and she survives.
John retired from Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 94 in Canton and was a member of Holy Family Parish.
In addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by sons, Joseph (Veronica) Phillips of Wesley Chapel, FL and Mark (Tracie) Phillips of Navarre; grandchildren, Morgan, Sophia and Luke; sisters, Janice (David) Amidon, Margaret McGuire, Bette (James) Outman and Therese (Michael) Cramer; and brothers, Terrence Phillips, Charles (Mary) Phillips and Kenneth (Theresa) Phillips.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Phillips; and a sister, Mary Anne Evans.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish, St. Clement Campus, 216 Wooster Street, NE, Navarre, OH 44662. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Spidell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
