Geiser, Gordon Nevin, 80

He was born near Kidron on March 8, 1942 to the late Idella (Lehman) Geiser and Alvin Geiser and married Marieda Neuenschwander on November 3, 1973.

Gordon loved his family and was a caring husband, father and papa.  He is survived by his wife, Marieda; four sons and their families, Brian and Yolanda of Wooster, Doug and Val of Powell, Randy and Amy of Fredericksburg and AJ and Jen of Hartville; grandchildren, Kayla, Todd, Heather, Christian, Nicole, Gavin, Grayson, Olivia, Briana, Drew and Brooklyn; sisters, Dee Neuenschwander and Sharon Steffen; a brother, Harlan (Diane) Geiser; sister-in-law, Myrene Geiser; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harry; brothers-in-law, John Neuenschwander and John Steffen; and grandson, Logan Geiser.

Gordon was a man of prayer and compassionate to those around him who were in need.  He loved to work on the farm, was employed by Kidron Electric for more than 57 years and by Gerber’s Poultry for 3 years.  He valued his experience and friendships when in Voluntary Service working in a hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  He also enjoyed being in the woods hunting, watching the animals and cutting firewood.  He liked to read and regularly made calls to keep up with family and friends.  His quiet strength and support will be missed by many.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Sonnenberg Mennonite Church with Pastor Carl Wiebe officiating.  Spidell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
